RELEVANT – refª PTDC/CCI-COM/5060/2021 BI|2024/563/564
Type of position: Master's Grant
Duration: 6 months
Deadline to apply: 2024-08-09
DescriptionThe successful candidates will contribute to the development of evaluation scenarios for the project, namely in the context of human-agent interaction (where the behavior of the human is potentially non-stationary and subject to change). Specifically, both candidates will develop scenarios to study human-AI collaboration.
One of the grantees will develop an interactive application that supports the collaboration of humans and AI and help with the definition and execution of user studies. The objective of the studies is to create knowledge about pathways for creating collaborative AI and study how people interact with this type of AI and the impact of this hybrid collaboration. The other grantee will focus on designing interaction scenarios that will exploit the impact that a socially-aware behavior (of the AI) impacts the trust of human users in the AI system.
