INESC-ID is taking part in Ciência 2023, happening this week, 5 to 7 July, at the University of Aveiro campus.

Ciência 2023 is the largest annual science and technology event in Portugal, organized by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) and the National Agency for Scientific and Technological Culture, Ciência Viva.

Today, 05 July, our President Inês Lynce — Automated Reasoning and Software Reliability researcher at INESC-ID, as well as President of its Board of Directors, and Full Professor at Instituto Superior Técnico — participated in the panel discussion Parcerias internacionais da FCT: Construir pontes sobre o Atlântico (“FCT international partnerships: Building bridges over the Atlantic”).

In this panel Professor Lynce joined ten colleagues to discuss the impact of the international partnerships between FCT and North American institutions such as the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the University of Texas at Austin and Carnegie Mellon University (the latter of which the Professor focused on as one of the National Directors at Portugal of the Carnegie Mellon Portugal Program).

Ciência 2023 is dedicated to the theme “Science and the Ocean Beyond the Horizon”, focusing on the ocean and waters. You can watch the event streamed live through its website.
