“Vencer o Adamastor” Award Ceremony

The Prize “Vencer o Adamastor” (‘Overcoming the Adamastor’), worth €20,000, is an initiative by INESC and the Público newspaper that distinguishes innovative works by young scientists in the field of information and communication technologies, revealing not only scientific excellence but also potential for economic development.

In this second edition of the Prize, the Jury, chaired by José Tribolet, decided to award researcher Manuel Goulão* for his work titled ‘Post-Quantum Secure Multi-Party Computation: Cryptography Fighting for a More Private and Egalitarian Future’.

* Manuel Goulão graduated from Instituto Superior Técnico and is currently a researcher at the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology, in Japan.
