In recognition of the distinguished service and professional merit, the Scientific Council of INESC-ID has conferred the title of Emeritus Researcher to José Tribolet. The recognition took place at Amphitheater Abreu Faro, at Instituto Superior Técnico, on 13 January 2020.

INESC-ID has a new Board of Directors, for the biennium 2020-2021, composed by Inês Lynce (Chairman), João Paulo Carvalho, Jorge Fernandes, Rodrigo Rodrigues, and José Pimentel. Remains in the coordination of the Scientific Council: Isabel Trancoso, Paolo Romano and Vasco Manquinho.

Researchers António Rito Silva and Duarte Oliveira were awarded the Best Student Paper Award at the 21st International Conference On Asia-Pacific Digital Libraries (ICADL 2019) for their paper entitled ‘Social Media Aware Virtual Editions For The Book of Disquiet’.
